Odaily reported that analyst Darkfost said in a post on X that Bitcoin is close to reaching 365 days without setting a new all-time high, or ATH. He said that in earlier cycles, Bitcoin usually made a fresh high not long after a halving, but that pattern now appears to be shifting. Darkfost also pointed to a shorter gap between cycle tops and the next all-time high across recent periods. According to the figures he cited, the interval from 2014 to 2017 was 1,180 days, from 2017 to 2020 it was 1,094 days, and from 2021 to 2024 it fell to 849 days. Based on that progression, he said Bitcoin could reach a new record faster in the current cycle if the trend continues. He also noted that the next Bitcoin halving is expected around April 2028. The comments were presented as his market observation on X rather than as a formal forecast with a fixed date.

According to Odaily, analyst Darkfost said in a post on X that Bitcoin is about to enter a period of 365 days without printing a new all-time high (ATH).

He said that in previous cycles, Bitcoin typically set a fresh high soon after the halving, but that pattern now seems to be changing.

The gap to a new all-time high has been getting shorter across cycles

Darkfost said the time from each cycle top to the next all-time high has continued to narrow:

  • 2014 to 2017: 1,180 days
  • 2017 to 2020: 1,094 days
  • 2021 to 2024: 849 days

Based on that trend, Darkfost said Bitcoin could reach a new all-time high faster in the current cycle if the pattern continues. He also said the next Bitcoin halving is expected around April 2028.
