Crypto analyst Darkfost said in a post on X that short-term Bitcoin holders, or STHs, are showing clear signs of panic. Over the past 24 hours, this cohort transferred more than 50,000 BTC to exchanges at the daily peak, according to his post. Of that amount, more than 29,500 BTC was moved while at a loss, accounting for about 59% of total BTC inflows to exchanges. Darkfost said the move marked the largest realized loss event by short-term holders in nearly four months. Even so, he noted that Bitcoin’s price had not shown a clear reaction despite the scale of the loss-driven selling pressure. At the time of his post, BTC was trading at about $82,000 and was retesting the previous high area formed in May this year. The comments frame exchange inflows from short-term holders as a sign of stress in the market, while price action has so far remained relatively steady.
