A Bitcoin wallet created on Nov. 2, 2011 moved 100 BTC at block height 967732, according to ChainCatcher. At the time of the transfer, the holdings were worth more than $8 million. The wallet had acquired the coins when Bitcoin traded at $3.24, putting the original cost for 100 BTC at about $324 and the unrealized return at roughly 2.469 million%. On the same day, four wallets created between February and March 2013 each moved 25 BTC, for a combined 100 BTC, into wallets belonging to crypto custody firm BitGo. On-chain traces indicate those coins originally came from block rewards in March 2013. ChainCatcher said the miner behind those funds has been sending similar-sized BTC batches to BitGo since August 2025. Taken together, the two transfers totaled 200 BTC, currently valued at more than $16 million. The destination for the 2011 wallet was a P2WPKH address that major block explorers have not labeled as an over-the-counter desk or centralized exchange address. Whether the 2013 miner’s transfers into BitGo have already been sold cannot be confirmed from on-chain data alone.
