The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) raised its price forecasts for both West Texas Intermediate and Brent crude in its latest Short-Term Energy Outlook. The agency now expects WTI crude to average $88.21 per barrel in 2026, up from its previous estimate of $84.65, and $79.74 per barrel in 2027, compared with an earlier forecast of $69.74. For Brent, the EIA lifted its 2026 forecast to $96.32 per barrel from $91.01, while its 2027 estimate was raised to $83.74 per barrel from $73.74.
