According to a report by Odaily Planet Daily, a shell company linked to Elon Musk has recently acquired multiple properties in a rural area outside Houston, Texas. The purchase suggests the possible finalization of a site for Terafab, a planned $55 billion chip manufacturing plant. The project, jointly driven by SpaceX, Tesla, and xAI, aims to supply high-performance chips for AI and robotics initiatives, potentially meeting the growing computing demands of the three tech giants. As a key piece of infrastructure in Musk's business empire, Terafab, once operational, would significantly reduce reliance on external chip suppliers.

With a total investment of up to $119 billion (the $55 billion being the initial phase), the Terafab project marks a major step toward vertical integration of chip supply. This land acquisition is seen as a critical signal that the project is moving from planning to tangible implementation.

Land registration records show that the company, identified as "WIT Tech LLC," has purchased at least six parcels in Grimes County, covering over 6,000 acres—equivalent to roughly 10 square miles. The transaction value remains undisclosed. The massive land area could accommodate a comprehensive campus encompassing chip R&D, manufacturing, and packaging and testing. (Golden Ten)
