As AI agents increasingly operate autonomously on-chain, verifying their trustworthiness has become a critical issue. The ERC-8126 standard is designed to fill this gap by providing a verifiable trust layer that empowers wallets, marketplaces, and dApps to make risk-control decisions based on objective signals.

The standard specifies five categories of risk verification: contract risk, media risk, Solidity code risk, website risk, and wallet risk. Through a unified assessment process, ERC-8126 outputs standardized risk scores and verifiable proofs, enabling various on-chain applications to quickly evaluate the reliability of an AI agent.

ERC-8126 complements the identity registration standard ERC-8004. While ERC-8004 addresses the on-chain identity registration of AI agents, ERC-8126 adds a trust assessment layer on top of that identity, bridging the critical step from "who you are" to "whether you are trustworthy." This completes the framework needed for large-scale deployment of AI agents in decentralized ecosystems.
