ERC-8126 is a proposed Ethereum standard designed to establish a verifiable trust layer for on-chain AI agents. As AI agents increasingly automate tasks on blockchain, the lack of reliable identity verification and risk assessment has become a critical bottleneck. The standard addresses this gap by introducing a systematic risk verification framework.
The standard covers five core risk verification categories: smart contract security, media content authenticity, Solidity code audit, website credibility, and wallet identity verification. Through standardized procedures, ERC-8126 can output unified risk scores and verifiable proof documents, enabling wallets, decentralized markets, and dApps to make risk control decisions based on objective signals.
ERC-8126 complements the existing identity registration standard ERC-8004, together forming a complete closed loop from identity registration to trusted interaction. The introduction of this standard will further enhance the reliability of on-chain operations by AI agents, addressing a key gap in the current on-chain trust mechanism.
