Ethereum restaking protocol ether.fi has introduced a U.S. dollar-denominated stablecoin called ether.fi USD, or USD, with technical support from Ethena. The announcement adds a new stablecoin product to the ether.fi ecosystem and ties it directly to the protocol’s existing liquidity base. According to ether.fi, more than $300 million in stablecoin assets are already active across its ecosystem. With the launch of USD, that liquidity is set to be integrated natively into products the project plans to roll out later. The company framed the move as a way to bring existing stablecoin liquidity inside its product stack rather than keeping it separate across the ecosystem.
