Weekly Ethereum Spot ETF Capital Flows
According to data from SoSoValue, as reported by ChainCatcher, Ethereum spot ETFs posted a net outflow of $273 million during the trading week from June 22 to June 26 (EDT). This marks the second consecutive week of net outflows, reflecting heightened caution among market participants regarding Ethereum's short-term price trajectory. Outflows were concentrated in a few products, with the bulk attributable to BlackRock's ETHA.
Breakdown by Major ETF Products
BlackRock's iShares Ethereum Trust (ETHA) recorded the largest net outflow of $236 million, accounting for over 86% of the week's total net withdrawals. Despite this, ETHA's historical cumulative net inflow remains substantial at $11.08 billion, indicating that the recent outflow is a minor pullback relative to its accumulated scale. The Grayscale Ethereum Mini Trust (ETH) followed with a net outflow of $22.22 million, bringing its historical cumulative net inflow to $1.83 billion.
In contrast, Bitwise's Ethereum Strategy ETF (ETHW) was the only product to register a net inflow during the week, albeit a modest $557,000. Its historical cumulative net inflow now stands at $385 million. This small inflow suggests that a minority of investors continue to see value at current price levels, but the overall trend remains dominated by outflows.
Market Snapshot and Historical Cumulative Data
As of press time, the total net assets of all Ethereum spot ETFs stood at approximately $8.38 billion, representing a net asset ratio of 4.42% relative to Ethereum's total market capitalization. Cumulative net inflows since inception have reached $10.9 billion. While the week's outflow was notable, the overall net inflow profile remains strong, implying that institutional interest in Ethereum has not fundamentally reversed.
Market Impact and Forward Outlook
The concentrated outflows from major products, particularly BlackRock's ETHA, may be linked to macroeconomic uncertainties and recent Ethereum price volatility. Although a single week of sizable withdrawals is not alarming given ETHA's massive cumulative inflows, sustained outflows over multiple weeks could exert downward pressure on ETH prices. Grayscale's outflow also suggests that some early investors are taking profits. In the coming weeks, market participants will closely monitor ETF flow data to gauge any material shift in institutional sentiment.
