ether.fi said on X that it is aware of an earlier security incident involving an Ethereum node operator, but added that WEETH has no exposure to the issue and will not be affected. The protocol said all funds remain safe. Earlier the same day, MetaMask said it was handling a security incident affecting part of its infrastructure. According to MetaMask, there is currently no evidence of any direct threat to MetaMask wallets. As a precaution, the company said it is working with customers, partners and security advisers to proactively move affected validators in order to protect the safety of its non-custodial staking business.
