Extended, a perpetual futures trading platform, said it will migrate its settlement network to Arc, the Layer 1 blockchain Circle built for financial markets.
The migration is scheduled for the week of Oct. 19, 2026. Extended said it will announce the exact timing closer to the date, and trading will continue during the migration window.
What stays the same and how assets will be handled
The platform said accounts, subaccounts, positions, orders, historical records, points and keys will remain unchanged.
ETH will be converted automatically on a 1:1 basis into wETH on Arc. USDC will move over as native USDC.
If any subaccount holds more than $1 worth of USDT or wBTC, users must convert or withdraw those assets before 12:00 UTC on Oct. 21, 2026, because those two assets will not exist on Arc.
Extended said users can convert them in-app at a 1:1 rate into USDC or cirBTC. The platform will pay a 0.50% premium and charge no conversion fee. That premium will be credited within eight hours after the migration is completed.
Deposits, withdrawals and missed-deadline treatment
Deposits for USDT and wBTC were closed starting at 16:00 UTC on the day of the announcement.
During the migration, deposits and withdrawals are expected to be paused for no more than about two hours. Transfers between subaccounts will remain available.
If the relevant assets exceed $1 and a user misses the deadline, the entire account will be restricted while the assets are being processed. Positions in the affected subaccounts will be closed at the mark price at the time of processing, with no fee charged.
Arc mainnet launch
Arc mainnet went live on Sept. 16, 2026. Extended said BlackRock, DTCC, ICE, Visa and Mastercard are among its founding validators.
