Oct. 26
BNB Standard to ring the Nasdaq opening bell
Nasdaq-listed BNB Standard Corporation, ticker BNC, said it will ring the opening bell at 9:30 a.m. Eastern Time on Oct. 26 at Nasdaq MarketSite in Times Square, New York. The event is meant to mark the company’s new name and the appointment of Alex Odagiu as chief executive officer on Oct. 19. Odagiu will attend with board members and management, and the livestream is set to begin at 9:15 a.m.
BNC said it holds what it described as the world’s largest corporate BNB reserve, operates businesses on BNB Chain, and plans to run BNB Chain validator nodes. Odagiu said most institutional investors have not yet studied BNB.
Blast begins shutdown process and urges withdrawals before Oct. 26
Blast said in a post on X that it will gradually shut down its Layer 2 network. The team said its original goal was to build a network that could operate over the long term on the strength of its own economic model while serving users and developers. It said the ongoing cost of maintaining Blast now exceeds the revenue generated by the L2, and that it does not currently see a credible path to economic sustainability, leading to the decision to end operations.
The project said its immediate priority is to make the shutdown as smooth and safe as possible, and it apologized to users and developers who used or built on Blast. All users have been asked to withdraw assets to Ethereum mainnet, including balances held in Blast PWA. To reduce friction, Blast plans to shorten the withdrawal waiting period to 24 hours.
That said, once the shutdown process starts, Blast will first handle the exit of its Lido assets, a process expected to take about one week. During that period, users will not be able to withdraw assets even if the waiting period has been shortened. After the Lido exit is complete, withdrawals will resume with a 24-hour waiting period. Users can withdraw through the standard Blast interface until Oct. 26, 2026. After that date, assets will still be withdrawable, but users will need to interact directly with the Blast Bridge contract deployed on Ethereum Layer 1. The team said it will publish detailed instructions before then and strongly recommended that users complete withdrawals before Oct. 26.
Galxe sets deadline for unstaking and withdrawals
Galxe said that as Gravity Alpha mainnet is gradually being phased out, most core services have already moved to the Gravity Layer 1 network. Because unstaking and fund withdrawals require a seven-day waiting period, users with staked G tokens or balances in Smart Savings need to complete the process before 11:00 on Oct. 26, 2026, in UTC+8.
At that point, the G staking page will be taken offline. Smart Savings users who do not manually withdraw or migrate funds before the deadline will have remaining assets automatically moved into Smart Balance, after which they will no longer be withdrawable.
Coinbase and Upbit move on BLAST support
Coinbase has suspended BLAST trading and told users to move assets out before Oct. 26. Any BLAST not withdrawn from Coinbase by that date will become inaccessible after the Blast network shuts down. Blast had previously said it would cease operations and advised users to withdraw to Ethereum mainnet before Oct. 26. Upbit also plans to delist BLAST on Oct. 26.
Separately, Upbit said it will delist BLAST spot trading at 12:00 local time on Oct. 26.

CFTC launches first Frontiers Forum on AI and agentic finance
According to an official announcement, the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission has launched a public workshop series called the Frontiers Forum Series through its innovation unit. The first forum is scheduled for Oct. 28 and will focus on artificial intelligence and agentic finance. The stated aim is to bring regulators, industry participants, and the public into discussion on emerging financial technology while balancing innovation, investor protection, and market integrity.
CFTC Chair Michael Selig said the agency will engage directly with builders, users, and researchers working on the technology. Members of the public can nominate speakers, and in-person attendance may be limited and subject to security screening.
Strategy shareholders to vote on daily dividend accrual proposal
Strategy Executive Chairman Michael Saylor said Bitcoin itself does not pay a coupon, while the company distributes U.S. dollar dividends to investors under the terms of its securities. He said the company raises funds through stock issuance or selective sales of holdings and uses cash reserves to cover dividends and debt interest. The preferred shares are not backed by Bitcoin as collateral.
Under the company’s explanation, common stock MSTR offers Bitcoin exposure, while preferred stock STRC is aimed at investors seeking U.S. dollar income. STRC currently carries a 12% annualized dividend rate, with the rate adjusted monthly and dividends paid twice a month. The security has no maturity date and does not guarantee repayment of principal.
On Sept. 25, Strategy proposed changing the dividend structure so that dividends accrue on each calendar day, while declared amounts would generally be paid on the next business day. The regular dividend rate and total amount would remain unchanged. Shareholders are set to vote on Oct. 28. If approved, the first daily record date for STRC would be Nov. 1, and the first payment would be due on Nov. 2, according to Bitcoin.com News.
BNB Chain to activate Jenner hard fork on testnet
BNB Chain said the Jenner hard fork upgrade will go live on the BNB Smart Chain testnet on Oct. 28. The upgrade introduces Payment Lane, which by default reserves 5% of a block’s gas capacity for eligible payment transactions. It also adds support for millisecond-level block timestamps for smart contracts and includes support for the new compliant asset standard CAS20. The chain said the detailed rollout schedule for those features will be announced separately.
BNB Chain asked validators, node operators, block builders, and application developers to prepare in advance. Testnet node operators need to switch to a compatible client before activation, while developers were told to review the impact of the changes on applications and tooling.
Delisting schedules at Upbit and Binance
Upbit said it will end trading support for Synthetix SNX at 14:00 on Sept. 28, affecting the SNX/BTC pair. Users need to complete withdrawals before Oct. 28, after which the exchange will no longer be able to process the assets.
Binance said it will stop trading and delist all spot pairs for EpicChain (EPIC) and QuickSwap (QUICK) at 03:00 UTC on Oct. 28, 2026. Binance Futures will close positions in the related token contracts and automatically settle them at 09:00 UTC on Oct. 20, with new positions barred from 08:30 UTC the same day. Withdrawal support will end at 03:00 UTC on Dec. 28.

Strategy said it will release financial results for the third quarter of 2026 after the U.S. market closes on Oct. 29. The company will discuss the results via a video webcast at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time the same day. A replay will be uploaded to Strategy’s investor relations website about two hours after the webcast ends, and the video stream will also be broadcast live.

Brazil licensing deadline approaches for virtual asset service providers
Brazil’s crypto market recorded $318.8 billion in on-chain transaction value over the past 12 months, ranking fifth globally in crypto adoption, with nearly one-third of Latin American activity flowing through Brazilian wallets and platforms. Blockchain security firm CertiK said virtual asset service providers must submit authorization applications to Brazil’s central bank, BCB, by Oct. 30, 2026, together with an independent audit report.
On Nov. 10, 2025, Brazil’s central bank issued three resolutions defining the licensing scope for virtual asset service providers, minimum capital requirements, and foreign exchange rules. Minimum capital requirements vary by license category from about 10.8 million reais to 37.2 million reais. Of roughly 120 service providers currently operating, most have not yet obtained formal licenses, and offshore operators must move operations into Brazil within 270 days.
About 80% of reported crypto trading volume in Brazil is conducted through tokens pegged to the U.S. dollar, with USDT accounting for 88.7%. From 2019 to 2025, total stablecoin transaction volume reached 1.13 trillion reais. CertiK said the crypto industry lost $1.32 billion to hacks and exploits in the first half of 2026 across 344 incidents, according to Decrypt.
Balancer moves into orderly shutdown
Balancer said BAL holders approved the BIP-928 orderly shutdown proposal, while the fork proposal BIP-929 did not pass. Existing liquidity pools will continue operating through Oct. 30, and users can withdraw at any time during that period.
Under the plan, Oct. 16 was the deadline for partners to apply for designated V3 pools to continue operating through Nov. 30. Starting Oct. 30, those pools will become withdrawal-only where contracts allow, and the bug bounty program will end. On Nov. 30, the V3 Vault will be formally paused.
Ostium to open second compensation portal
Ostium outlined a second-stage compensation plan for OLP holders who lost more than 1,000 USDC and did not choose the simplified distribution option. Category A claims will be repaid in USDC over time using recovered and future recovered funds as well as protocol revenue, with protocol revenue initially including 50% of opening fees. Category B claimants can convert losses into equity in Ostium Labs based on the valuation of the next funding round. The second compensation portal will go live on Oct. 30. Ostium was attacked in July and lost $23.75 million.
Ebisu frontend to be shut down
Yield-focused stablecoin protocol Ebisu said it will wind down in stages, with its frontend scheduled to go offline on Oct. 30, three months after the announcement. Users need to close vaults and withdraw Stability Pool deposits and ebUSD DEX liquidity before Oct. 30. Minting of ebUSD has already been suspended.
Ebisu said it had aimed to provide fixed-rate credit through ebUSD, but the team was unable to expand ebUSD liquidity to a level sufficient to support borrowing activity at meaningful scale. It said attempts involving instant liquidation, multi-chain collateral, and structured vaults did not solve what it described as the core bottleneck for CDP protocols: creating enough liquidity and durable demand for a stablecoin. Ebisu also said the EBISU token will not launch, there will be no airdrop for xEBISU or BOLD holders, and xEBISU has no monetary value and is not redeemable.

Polymarket waives fees across eight categories through month-end

ECX targets permanent mainnet launch
ECX said its rollout will take place in three phases. The Alpha phase is expected near Bitcoin block height 963648, the Beta phase is expected on Sept. 20 at block height 967680, and the permanent mainnet is planned for Oct. 31 at block height 973728. The project is being advanced by Paul Sztorc, founder and head of Layertwo Labs and a developer of Drivechains and BIP-300/301.
ECX will copy the transaction ledger from a designated Bitcoin snapshot and distribute ECX on a 1:1 basis to most Bitcoin holders on the new network. Users who control private keys in self-custody wallets at the time of the snapshot can directly obtain the corresponding assets. Users holding BTC on exchanges or with other custodians will need to wait for those platforms to decide whether to support the fork and distribute ECX. Existing BTC will not be converted, locked, or moved.
ECX plans to launch with seven dedicated sidechains: Thunder, Zside, Bitnames, Bitassets, Photon, Truthcoin, and Coinshift. Of the roughly 1.1 million early bitcoins associated with addresses linked to Satoshi Nakamoto, about 600,000 ECX will continue to be assigned to those addresses, while about 500,000 ECX will be redirected through a special transaction to early investors and development funding. That will not affect BTC on the Bitcoin network, according to Bitcoin.com News.
Deadlines for MyNearWallet, Cardano Card, and Ronin Waypoint
NEAR Protocol said MyNearWallet, a non-custodial wallet in the NEAR ecosystem, will stop operating on Oct. 31. Users need to migrate to another wallet or access method. NEAR Protocol said user assets remain on-chain and are not held in custody by MyNearWallet, so the wallet’s retirement will not affect the assets themselves. The project advised users to run a small test before migrating and to keep original recovery information until all balances have been confirmed as transferred. MyNearWallet will gradually shift toward migration and recovery functions.
Cardano Card will stop service on Oct. 31, 2026, though cardholders can continue using it until then. Its partner Wirex is moving to a non-custodial model and shutting down custodial infrastructure, and the partnership will end on the same date. Cardano Card said more details on next steps will be announced soon.
Ronin said the migration of Ronin Waypoint has entered a final grace period running until 23:00 Beijing time on Oct. 31, 2026. Once that grace period ends, Ronin Waypoint will be fully shut down and the migration will be complete. Ronin had previously asked users to move assets from Waypoint wallets to Ronin Stash or mnemonic-based wallets before Oct. 16, warning that unmigrated assets could become inaccessible.
Nov. 1
StandX to open DUSD airdrop claims
StandX said it is gradually ceasing operations and has decided not to issue a token. Instead, it will conduct a one-time DUSD airdrop with no lock-up using remaining project revenue and additional team funding. The platform has already stopped all yield products. Since Oct. 20, perpetual contracts have been limited to position reductions only. On Jan. 15, 2027, all open positions will be closed at mark price, and DUSD redemption and withdrawals will end on Jan. 31.
Claims for the airdrop will open at 08:00 Beijing time on Nov. 1 and close at 16:00 on Dec. 31.
