Flap, a BNB Chain token launchpad, generated $1,183,980 in revenue on Aug. 1, enough to overtake Pump.fun in daily revenue for the first time, according to DefiLlama.
Using DefiLlama’s parent-protocol view, Flap posted $1,183,980 for the day, just ahead of the Pump family’s $1,103,266. That Pump total includes the pump.fun launchpad, its PumpSwap AMM, and the project’s trading terminal.
Sharp climb over two weeks
The flip happened during what had already been a strong stretch for Pump. From July 27 through July 31, Pump was bringing in between $1.3 million and $1.44 million a day.
Flap’s growth was much steeper. The platform made $28,343 on July 19, then rose to $541,637 on July 30 and $663,511 on July 31 before spiking again on Aug. 1. Based on those figures, that was roughly a 40x jump in two weeks.
Almost all of the Aug. 1 total came from BNB Chain, which accounted for $1.18 million. Robinhood Chain and X Layer added only small contributions.
Relaunch of “Binance Life” coincided with the surge
The revenue spike came at about the same time that 币安人生, translated as “Binance Life,” was relaunched on Flap. CoinMarketCap data cited in the report says the memecoin had surged more than 3,000% on Four.Meme last October after Binance co-founder Yi He posted the phrase on X. In late July, the token’s original developers redeployed it on Flap with a new contract.
The article also notes that Four.Meme, another BNB Chain launchpad, briefly overtook Pump.fun in October 2025. Since then, Flap has absorbed nearly all of the chain’s launch flow, while Four.Meme’s revenue has fallen to about $17,000 a day.
Pump still leads over longer periods
On any longer time frame, Pump remains much larger. DefiLlama data shows the Pump family generated $31.4 million over the past 30 days, compared with $4.42 million for Flap.
Lifetime revenue shows an even wider gap. The Pump family has brought in $1.22 billion in total, including more than $1 billion from the pump.fun launchpad alone. Flap’s lifetime revenue stands at $52.3 million.
CoinGecko data shows PUMP, the Pump.fun token, traded at $0.0022 on Aug. 3, down about 75% from its September 2025 high.
Different fee model, different risks
Flap launched in June 2024 and describes itself as a programmable token launchpad that came out of an ETHGlobal hackathon win.
Unlike Pump.fun’s flat-fee approach, Flap allows creators to launch tax tokens with trading taxes ranging from 1% to 10%. Those taxes can be directed to community incentives, treasuries, or marketing. DefiLlama counts only Flap’s bonding-curve fees as revenue and does not include token taxes.
Warning on dynamic tax settings
Trading tool GMGN warned, citing PANews, that some tokens launched on Flap carry dynamic tax-rate risk. The report says sell taxes can be configured as high as 100%, which can make those tokens effectively unsellable.
