Freedom Factory, a maker of quantum-secure hardware wallets, has introduced a new device called PQ1. The company said it plans to fully open-source both the hardware and software behind the wallet, including its internal schematics and a DIY guide. It also said security firm Trail of Bits has been engaged to review the related ERC-4337 account abstraction contracts. Freedom Factory previously received funding support from Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin and investor Balaji Srinivasan to back development of ethOS. The update centers on product release, open-source commitments and an external smart contract audit tied to the wallet’s architecture.
