Gate appoints Jason Fung to lead global partnerships
Gate announced on Tuesday that Jason Fung has officially joined the company as Head of Global Partnerships, according to ChainCatcher. The exchange said he will lead its global partnership strategy and deepen long-term cooperation with selected projects, L1 and L2 ecosystems, traditional finance institutions, and Web3 partners.
Gate said the appointment is aimed at strengthening the platform’s ecosystem value and improving its ability to integrate global resources.
Background spans Web3, fintech, consumer tech and gaming
According to the announcement, Fung has more than 15 years of industry experience across Web3, fintech, consumer technology, and gaming. He previously held roles at Sei, ABFinance, TikTok, and Alibaba, and also helped launch several Web2 and Web3 startup ventures.
Gate said his experience includes market expansion, ecosystem building, asset operations, strategic partnerships, and international business development.
Fung comments on the new role
Fung said, "I’m very happy to join Gate. The digital asset industry is seeing more opportunities for innovation and collaboration, and I look forward to applying my experience in Web3, technology, and global partnerships to build closer connections with projects, ecosystem partners, and industry participants around the world, explore more innovation opportunities, and jointly advance the development of the digital asset sector."
Company says hire will support broader collaboration
Gate said Fung’s arrival will improve its global partnership framework, promote resource coordination across ecosystems and industries, and help the company work with more partners on new digital asset use cases and long-term ecosystem development.
