Gate said its options business posted broad month-on-month growth in September, with new-user activity rising sharply by Sept. 29. According to official data cited by Odaily, cumulative September options trading volume was up about 18.7% from the whole of August, while premium trading volume increased about 141.3%. Over the same period, new-user trading volume climbed about 180.0%, and average trading volume per new user rose about 179.2%, indicating larger trade size and higher activity among first-time participants on the platform.
The update also included a snapshot of the Bitcoin options market as of Sept. 30 at 14:00 UTC+8. Open interest was tilted toward calls, with 234,389.80 BTC, or 64.54% of total open interest, versus 128,761.00 BTC in puts, or 35.46%. Over the past 24 hours, however, executed volume was nearly balanced: call options accounted for 10,896.40 BTC, or 51.27%, while put options reached 10,357.20 BTC, or 48.73%. Gate said the open-interest structure still leaned bullish in composition, but the near-even split in the last 24 hours was not enough on its own to determine market direction. The exchange also said its "Options Rookie Season" campaign is now live for new users.
Gate reported stronger options activity in September, with a notable jump in participation from new users.

Gate also said its "Options Rookie Season" campaign has started. New options users can choose either the simple options track or the U.S. stock options track, complete tasks, and receive a first-trade reward, a subsidy for losses on the first trade, and weekly trading rewards.
