Gate reports 117% reserve coverage in latest proof-of-reserves update

Gate has released its latest reserve report, showing an overall reserve coverage ratio of 117% as of July 27, 2026, above the 100% threshold cited as an industry safety benchmark in the announcement. The report says the platform’s reserves cover nearly 500 different types of user assets and continue to rely on a verifiable mechanism aimed at protecting user funds. The update also points to growth in core asset reserves. BTC user holdings rose from 19,054 BTC in the previous period to 21,557 BTC, while Gate reported holding 26,775 BTC in reserves, equal to an excess reserve ratio of 24.2%. ETH user holdings increased from 344,935 ETH to 374,348 ETH, and platform reserves climbed from 423,960 ETH to 456,798 ETH, with an excess reserve ratio of 22.02%. For stablecoins, combined user holdings of USDT, USDC, USD1 and GUSD stood at 1.336 billion tokens, against combined platform reserves of 1.59 billion, for a reserve ratio of 118.97% and an excess reserve ratio of 18.97%. The report also said reserve ratios for GT and XRP were above the 100% line, at 131.13% and 116.5%, respectively.

The report says Gate’s reserves cover nearly 500 different types of user assets. It also states that the platform continues to use a verifiable mechanism to safeguard user assets, while reserves tied to core assets kept growing in the latest period.

BTC and ETH reserves moved higher

BTC user assets increased from 19,054 BTC in the previous report to 21,557 BTC. Gate said it held 26,775 BTC in reserves, translating to an excess reserve ratio of 24.2%.

ETH user assets rose from 344,935 ETH to 374,348 ETH. Platform reserves also increased, from 423,960 ETH to 456,798 ETH, with an excess reserve ratio of 22.02%.

Stablecoin reserve ratio reached 118.97%

For stablecoins, combined user assets across USDT, USDC, USD1 and GUSD totaled 1.336 billion tokens. Combined platform reserves came to 1.59 billion, producing a reserve ratio of 118.97% and an excess reserve ratio of 18.97%.

GT and XRP also stayed above 100%

The report added that reserve ratios for major assets including GT and XRP also remained above the 100% reserve standard, reaching 131.13% and 116.5%, respectively.

Gate said in the latest report that its core asset reserve base remained steady, providing support for user fund security and the stability of platform operations.
