Gate said it has launched a yield-generating feature for stock and CFD account balances, describing itself as the first platform in the market to let eligible assets in those trading accounts earn returns automatically. Under the feature, idle USDT in stock accounts and USDx in CFD accounts can accrue yield while users continue trading stocks, participating in IPO subscriptions, or trading CFDs. The platform said the product uses a tiered rate structure based on the USDT balance in stock accounts and the USDx balance in CFD accounts, with a reference annualized yield of as much as 3.00%. Yields for the two account types are calculated separately. A single account becomes eligible once its balance exceeds 1,000 USDT or USDx, while the actual rate shown on the page may change under platform rules and market conditions. Gate added that users do not need to stake or lock assets to use the service. Eligible balances are measured through daily position snapshots, and rewards are distributed each day to spot accounts. The company also used the announcement to highlight its broader TradFi offering, including 24/7 access to U.S., Hong Kong, and South Korean equities, as well as CFD products tied to metals, stocks, indices, foreign exchange, and commodities.

Gate has launched a yield feature for stock and CFD account balances, saying eligible idle assets can earn returns automatically while users continue to trade on the platform.

According to the announcement, the new service applies to idle USDT held in stock accounts and idle USDx held in CFD accounts. Gate said users can keep trading stocks, subscribing to new share offerings, and trading CFDs while those eligible balances generate yield at the same time.

Tiered rates based on account balances

The feature uses a tiered yield structure. USDT balances in stock accounts and USDx balances in CFD accounts are matched to their own yield tiers, and the reference annualized return can be as high as 3.00%.

Gate said yields for the two account types are calculated independently, with no effect on one another. A stock account or CFD account becomes eligible for interest once the balance exceeds 1,000 USDT or USDx. The actual rate will depend on the real-time figures shown on the page and the platform's rules, and may be adjusted with market conditions.

No staking or lock-up required

Users who turn on the service do not need to stake or lock assets, according to Gate. Eligible assets in stock accounts and CFD accounts are measured through daily holding snapshots, with returns calculated automatically and credited every day to the user's spot account.

Gate said the arrangement is designed to keep funds flexible. Users can still trade stocks, join new share subscriptions, trade CFDs, and transfer funds between accounts while the yield feature remains in effect.

Broader push into traditional finance products

The company tied the launch to its wider expansion in traditional financial asset trading. In stocks, Gate said it now offers a 7×24 trading service covering the U.S., Hong Kong, and South Korean markets. The platform said that lineup includes more than 10,000 U.S. stocks and ETFs, more than 1,500 Hong Kong stocks, and more than 1,000 South Korean stocks, for a total of more than 12,500 stocks and ETF products globally.

Gate also said users can invest in global equities through a unified account using USDT, with support for fractional trading starting from 0.01 shares, stock dividend entitlements, and cross-broker position transfers for U.S. and Hong Kong stocks.

CFD products span multiple asset classes

For CFDs, Gate said it has continued to expand its product range across metals, stocks, indices, foreign exchange, and commodities. The platform also highlighted an adjustable leverage mechanism, along with 7×24 trading and USDT settlement.

Using a unified account system, users can access multiple global markets without switching across different platforms, Gate said.

Part of Gate's TradFi strategy

Gate described the stock and CFD account yield feature as part of its effort to strengthen its TradFi ecosystem. In the company's framing, the launch adds another tool for asset appreciation and improves capital efficiency across multiple markets and trading scenarios.

Gate said it plans to keep pushing the integration of TradFi and Web3 while building out its multi-asset trading, wealth-generation, and broader service system for global users.
