Genius Group said it has restarted purchases for its Bitcoin treasury, buying 10 BTC for about $854,000 between Oct. 2 and Oct. 5 at an average price of $85,364 per coin. The move came after the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit on Aug. 31 lifted a preliminary injunction that had blocked the company from issuing shares, raising capital, and buying Bitcoin. The company said the purchase marks the next step in its $1.2 billion dual-treasury capital plan, first announced on Aug. 27. That plan targets allocations of $827 million to Bitcoin and $800 million to AI assets by fiscal year 2031, with total assets projected to reach $2 billion. Genius Group said it plans to keep accumulating Bitcoin and add to its AI stock holdings, funding the strategy through operating cash flow, a perpetual preferred securities issuance program, and an at-the-market equity issuance mechanism. The company also said it has no current plans to use debt financing to buy assets or to pledge its Bitcoin and AI stock holdings as collateral.

Genius Group said it has resumed purchases for its Bitcoin treasury, acquiring 10 BTC for about $854,000 between Oct. 2 and Oct. 5 at an average purchase price of $85,364.

The purchase followed an Aug. 31 ruling by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, which lifted a preliminary injunction that had prevented the company from issuing shares, raising capital, and buying Bitcoin.

Next step in dual-treasury plan

According to the company, the latest purchase is the next step in its $1.2 billion dual-treasury capital plan. Genius Group announced the plan on Aug. 27, setting a target to allocate $827 million to Bitcoin and $800 million to AI assets by fiscal year 2031, while lifting total assets to $2 billion.

The company said it plans to continue accumulating Bitcoin and increase its holdings of AI stocks. Funding for the dual-treasury purchases is expected to come from operating cash flow, a perpetual preferred securities issuance program, and an at-the-market equity issuance mechanism.

No debt-financed purchases planned

Genius Group said it currently has no plans to buy assets through debt financing, and does not plan to pledge its Bitcoin holdings or AI stocks.

Chief executive Roger James Hamilton said the latest purchase was limited in size, but showed that the company had restarted its Bitcoin accumulation strategy.
