U.S.-listed Genius Group has restarted its Bitcoin treasury buying program, according to a report cited by ChainCatcher from Globenewswire. After liquidating its Bitcoin holdings in April this year, the company bought 10 BTC between Oct. 2 and Oct. 5 for about $854,000 in total, with an average purchase price of $85,364 per coin. The purchase forms part of the company’s $1.2 billion “dual treasury” capital plan. Under that plan, Genius Group intends to allocate $827 million to Bitcoin-related assets and $800 million to AI assets. It also said it aims to lift its total asset base to $2 billion by fiscal 2031. The latest disclosure marks a restart of the company’s Bitcoin treasury activity after the earlier sale of its reserves.
