According to data from Coinglass, the cryptocurrency market experienced a wave of massive liquidations over the past 24 hours, with total liquidations reaching $375 million. Long position liquidations accounted for $203 million, while short position liquidations stood at $172 million, indicating significant pressure on both sides of the market.
Bitcoin long liquidations amounted to approximately $36.72 million, while Bitcoin short liquidations were about $85.47 million. For Ethereum, long liquidations were around $31.36 million and short liquidations approximately $42.11 million. In both major assets, short liquidations exceeded long liquidations, suggesting a more concentrated short-side force in recent trading sessions.
Furthermore, a total of 90,189 traders were liquidated globally in the past 24 hours. The largest single liquidation order occurred on Binance’s BTCUSDT trading pair, valued at $6.65 million. The high number of liquidated accounts and the large single order size highlight the intense market volatility and the elevated risks associated with leveraged trading.
