According to BBX data, major publicly traded companies hit a turning point in digital asset treasury operations and compliant derivatives infrastructure yesterday. Strategy Inc. made a historic micro-adjustment to its bitcoin holdings after five years, CME Group officially went live with 24/7 crypto trading, and France-based Capital B continued its steady accumulation.

Strategy Sells Bitcoin for the First Time

Strategy Inc. (NASDAQ: $MSTR) disclosed that between May 26 and May 31, it sold 32 BTC for a net return of approximately $2.5 million, at an average net price of $77,135 per coin. The proceeds were used to pay preferred stock dividends. This marks the company's first-ever sale of bitcoin since adopting its bitcoin treasury strategy in August 2020. Following the minor trim, its total holdings stand at 843,706 BTC, acquired at a total cost of $6.387 billion and an average purchase price of roughly $75,699 per bitcoin.

CME Launches 24/7 Crypto Derivatives, Capital B Adds to Holdings

CME Group Inc. (NASDAQ: $CME) announced on June 1 that its crypto futures and options have been available for 24/7 trading since May 29. The first weekend saw more than 7,200 contracts traded, with a notional value of $50 million, and Bitcoin Volatility Index (BVI) futures also went live simultaneously. Data shows that notional crypto derivatives volume for full-year 2025 reached $3 trillion, and the average daily volume so far in 2026 has surged 46% year-over-year.

Separately, French publicly traded company Capital B confirmed it recently added another 4 bitcoin to its treasury, raising its total holdings to 3,139 BTC.
