Grayscale seeks to convert Zcash Trust into a spot ETF
Grayscale has submitted the fifth amended filing for its Zcash Trust to the U.S. SEC, according to The Block. The proposed ETF would convert Grayscale’s existing Zcash trust into a spot ETF.
In the latest filing, the trust would be renamed Zcash ETF.
The filing says the product would be structured more like a spot ETF and would be the first ETF in the United States to directly track this privacy-related asset. The sponsor fee is set at 2.5% a year.
The ETF is slated to list on NYSE Arca under the ticker ZCH. BNY Mellon would serve as transfer agent, and Coinbase Custody Trust Company, LLC would be the custodian.
What the filing discloses
The amended filing lays out the product name, fee, listing venue and service providers. According to the document, the trust would be renamed Zcash ETF, with NYSE Arca as the listing venue, ZCH as the ticker, BNY Mellon as transfer agent and Coinbase Custody Trust Company, LLC as custodian.
