Hedera Hashgraph has announced a partnership with Nvidia and Intel to launch Verifiable Compute, a hardware-based approach designed to improve governance across AI workflows. The concept centers on allowing AI computations to generate cryptographic certificates, which are then timestamped and anchored to the Hedera network, creating a verifiable record of how those computations were executed.
Bringing hardware trust and blockchain records together
The initiative combines hardware-backed assurance with distributed ledger infrastructure. By attaching cryptographic proof to AI processing and writing that evidence to Hedera, the system aims to support stronger auditability, traceability, and trust in AI operations. At a time when the AI sector is under growing pressure to improve transparency and accountability, this model presents Hedera as a blockchain network seeking a practical role in AI governance rather than pure speculation.
The announcement has also triggered fresh debate over the valuation of HBAR, Hedera’s native token. Analyst Mark Chadwick argued that HBAR’s roughly $8 billion market capitalization may be undervalued when viewed alongside Nvidia’s approximately $3.6 trillion valuation. While such comparisons are more thematic than directly comparable, they reflect rising investor interest in platforms positioned at the intersection of AI and blockchain infrastructure.
Google Cloud link and ETF narrative add momentum
In a related development, Google Cloud has partnered with Secret Mountain, a project tied to Hedera, to combine AI and blockchain technology for digital entertainment use cases. That expands the broader Hedera ecosystem story beyond infrastructure and into application-level deployment.
At the same time, HBAR is gaining traction in the ETF conversation, with several firms reportedly filing for spot HBAR ETFs. Some analysts have floated a highly bullish scenario in which HBAR could rise 15x to $3.53 if those products are approved. Even so, that outlook remains conditional on regulatory decisions and broader market sentiment, making it more of a speculative benchmark than a firm forecast.
Overall, Hedera’s latest partnerships strengthen its narrative as a potential AI governance layer. For the market, the bigger question is whether these announcements can translate into sustained enterprise adoption, measurable on-chain activity, and long-term ecosystem growth.
