Shares of High Roller Technologies (ROLR) more than doubled on Tuesday, surging as much as 130% before settling 65% higher at $8.32. The Las Vegas-based company said it will partner with Crypto.com to introduce an event-based prediction market in the U.S., pushing the exchange's token CRO up 3% to $0.07.
CDNA to power contract offerings
High Roller will initially offer event contracts via Crypto.com Derivatives North America (CDNA), a CFTC-registered exchange and clearinghouse, covering finance, sports and entertainment. No launch date was disclosed.
Prediction market sector heats up
Once a niche betting vertical, prediction markets have evolved into sophisticated platforms aggregating real-world probabilities. Key players include CFTC-regulated Kalshi and decentralized market Polymarket, which covers politics, sports and economics.
$1 trillion volume forecast
High Roller cited projections that prediction market trading volume could exceed $1 trillion by 2030. A recent report from U.S. bank Citizens estimated the market's annualized revenue at $3 billion, up from $2 billion in December, with potential to reach $10 billion by 2030.
