According to The Block, Humanity Protocol (token: H) experienced a $36 million hack. Founder Terence Kwok revealed the attack was not due to a smart contract vulnerability but rather a phishing email that compromised a private key belonging to a Humanity Foundation member. The attacker used the key to mint and dump H tokens across multiple chains, causing a price drop of approximately 89%.
Kwok stated that the breach originated from a developer's laptop, which was infected with malware that exposed the private key.
