BlockBeats reported on Aug. 25 that TradingBeats, formerly Hyperinsight, tracked continued strength in the crypto market and found that the largest long positions on Hyperliquid in BTC, ETH and HYPE were still sitting near elevated levels, with no reductions among the top three longs.
Top BTC longs remain in place
In BTC, the biggest long belonged to Garrett Jin, described as the agent for the “1011 insider whale.” The position was worth about $102 million, used 5x leverage, and was showing roughly $5.85 million in unrealized profit.
The second-largest BTC long, held by 0x15a4...dfdb, was valued at about $80.73 million with 40x leverage and about $18.38 million in floating profit. The third-largest BTC long, held by 0x8ea8...edbc, stood at about $80.72 million with 4x leverage and about $7.94 million in unrealized profit.
ETH leaderboard includes Machi Big Brother
For ETH, the largest long was held by 0xde8d...9524, with a position worth about $63.15 million at 20x leverage and roughly $10.97 million in floating profit. The second-largest ETH long, held by 0xedcd...d05a, was worth about $50.13 million at 4x leverage and was showing about $11.41 million in unrealized profit.
Machi Big Brother currently holds a long position of about 19,600 ETH. The position is valued at about $49.07 million, uses 25x leverage, and is showing about $1.4 million in floating profit.
HYPE longs also show no position cuts
In HYPE, the largest long, held by 0x082e...ca88, was worth about $112 million with 5x leverage and roughly $58.36 million in unrealized profit. The second-largest long, held by 0x152e...c9dc, stood at about $36.73 million with 5x leverage and about $11.32 million in floating profit. The third-largest long, held by 0x6666...23f5, was valued at about $36.44 million with 10x leverage and about $18.52 million in unrealized profit.
Machi’s net ETH exposure still expanded over two weeks
TradingBeats said that while Machi Big Brother cut about 70,600 ETH over the past two weeks, he also added about 86,300 ETH during the same period. His net position still increased clearly, and the short-term reductions were described as portfolio rebalancing.
Account PnL recovered from the Aug. 13 low
Data from Hyperliquid Portfolio showed that Machi’s cumulative profit and loss fell to about -$36.64 million on Aug. 13. It has since recovered by about $10.83 million, bringing the current cumulative PnL to around -$25.82 million. The account remains about $25.82 million away from overall breakeven.
