Bitcoin Holdings Reach $44 Million, Total Financial Assets at $91.5 Million
Hyperscale Data, Inc. (NYSE American: GPUS) disclosed that as of March 22, 2026, it holds 627.8970 bitcoin, valued at approximately $44 million. In addition to its bitcoin assets, the company maintains $47.5 million in cash and restricted cash, bringing total financial holdings to $91.5 million. This amount equals 147.07% of its market capitalization as of March 23, 2026.
This latest report reflects a steady increase in Hyperscale Data's bitcoin portfolio, rising from 617 bitcoin reported on March 10, 2026. The ongoing accumulation demonstrates the company's disciplined execution of its digital asset strategy.
Goal: Build a $100 Million Digital Asset Treasury
Hyperscale Data's accumulation is part of a strategic plan to achieve 100% parity between its bitcoin holdings and market capitalization, ultimately establishing a $100 million digital asset treasury. Executive Chairman Milton “Todd” Ault III stated, “We continue to make progress towards our goal of accumulating $100 million of Bitcoin on the Company's balance sheet.” This indicates strong confidence in bitcoin and alignment with a growing corporate trend of adopting bitcoin as a treasury asset.
At the time of writing, GPUS shares trade near $0.15. To reach the $100 million target, the company would need to acquire approximately $56 million more in bitcoin. Given its cash position and operating cash flow, this goal appears financially feasible.
Following Strategy Inc.'s Bitcoin Treasury Playbook
Hyperscale Data's approach is inspired by Strategy Inc. (formerly MicroStrategy, ticker MSTR), the flagship case study in corporate bitcoin treasury evolution. Under Michael Saylor, Strategy shifted from a traditional software business to a firm whose primary reserve asset is Bitcoin, pioneering a model where BTC sits at the heart of corporate balance-sheet strategy. Strategy uses capital markets—issuing equity and convertible debt—to fund BTC accumulation, aiming to maximize its “BTC per share” metric and align shareholder value with long-term BTC appreciation.
Strategy's model functions as both a treasury tool and a leveraged Bitcoin exposure vehicle, effectively turning its balance sheet into a high-beta proxy for the crypto asset. This has inspired Hyperscale Data and other corporations to consider adding BTC to their treasuries.
Stock Price and Market Reaction
Despite bitcoin holdings exceeding its market cap, GPUS shares have not surged. The stock trades around $0.15, suggesting the market is still assessing the risk-reward of such a strategy. Nevertheless, management remains committed to the $100 million digital asset treasury goal. As more companies adopt bitcoin treasury strategies, Hyperscale Data's execution may serve as a template for mid-sized firms.
