Kazakhstan plans to create a national cryptocurrency analytics center to track transactions involving digital assets, according to a report from the state news agency Kazinform. National Bank Governor Timur Suleimenov announced the plan at a government meeting on Sept. 15.
Suleimenov said the center will be built on the National Bank’s regtech platform. Its role will be to analyze both fiat and crypto components in transactions, along with information tied to clients, wallets, and transfers.
The new center is also set to be integrated with the National Bank’s anti-fraud center. Under the arrangement described at the meeting, banks, law enforcement agencies, and licensed digital asset service providers will be able to use its verification tools.
The announcement points to a more structured monitoring framework for digital asset flows in Kazakhstan, centered on transaction analysis and verification infrastructure within the country’s central banking system.
