According to the announcement, the fund will focus on companies in AI, semiconductors, secondary batteries, aerospace, mobility, robotics and biotech, with the stated aim of fostering unicorns in advanced strategic industries. The decision was finalized at the fourth Production Finance Consultative Meeting held on July 24. KB Financial also rolled out a financing support plan tied to the government’s three “super projects,” covering semiconductors, power infrastructure investment, and support for physical AI companies and AI data centers.
