KelpDAO has announced that rsETH bridging across 20 networks was sunset on June 15. In its post on X, the project stated that users’ backing is safe and that users who missed the deadline still have a recovery route. The recovery window will remain open until June 15, 2027.
The message was posted by the official KelpDAO account, @KelpDAO. The post said: “rsETH bridging on 20 networks was sunset on June 15. Your backing is safe. If you missed the deadline, recovery is simple.” The post timestamp shown in the source item is 19:04 on June 19, 2026. The page also displayed 1,539 views and a prompt showing 4 replies.
Recovery requires a burn, a mainnet fee, and transaction emails
KelpDAO described the general recovery process in three main steps. Users who missed the rsETH bridging deadline must first burn their rsETH on the source chain. The source chain refers to the chain where the user’s rsETH is located. The announcement did not list the names of all 20 networks; it only stated that rsETH bridging on 20 networks had been sunset on June 15.
After burning rsETH on the source chain, users must pay a flat 100 USDC fee on Ethereum mainnet. KelpDAO specifically described this as a “flat 100 USDC fee on Ethereum mainnet,” indicating that the fee amount is fixed and that the payment must take place on Ethereum mainnet.
Once both actions are completed, users must email KelpDAO both transactions. The process outlined in the post is: burn rsETH on the source chain, pay the fixed 100 USDC fee on Ethereum mainnet, and send both transaction records by email. KelpDAO said it will settle quarterly and send the user’s rsETH back to Ethereum.
Movement users have a separate process with the same guarantee
The announcement also singled out Movement users. KelpDAO said Movement users should follow a separate process, while adding that they receive the same guarantee. The post did not provide the full Movement-specific procedure directly in the X message and instead directed users to the guide for details.
The guide link listed in the post was shown as blogs.kerneldao.com/blog/recoverin…. KelpDAO’s wording was concise: “Movement users: separate process, same guarantee. Details in the guide.” Based on the post, Movement users should not rely on the general process alone without checking the guide, because the project stated that their process is separate.
Only one official channel is listed
KelpDAO also emphasized that there is one official channel for the recovery process: [email protected]. Users following the general route must send both transaction records to that official email address after completing the source-chain rsETH burn and the Ethereum mainnet 100 USDC fee payment.
The recovery window remains open until June 15, 2027. The key details from the announcement are that rsETH bridging on 20 networks has ended, backing is safe, missed-deadline users can use a recovery process, settlement will be handled quarterly, and recovered rsETH will be returned to Ethereum. Movement users are covered by a separate process with the same guarantee, with details provided in the guide.
