KelpDAO said rsETH has returned to full normal operations. In a thread posted on X, the team stated that deposits and withdrawals have been reopened on Ethereum mainnet and across all Layer 2 networks, while staking rewards accumulated during the suspension have been included in the latest exchange rate update.

For holders, the immediate change is the return of liquidity access. KelpDAO said the protocol completed its exchange rate update at 16:45 CET, and that update fully accounts for staking rewards accrued during the paused period. EIGEN rewards tied to that same period are also now available to claim through a dedicated page.

Mainnet and Layer 2 functions are live again

The key point in the announcement is that rsETH-related protocol activity is no longer under suspension. According to KelpDAO, deposit and withdrawal functions on mainnet and major L2s have all been restored. The team also said users did not lose the rewards they earned while the system was paused, with those returns now reflected in the protocol’s updated rate.

The statement went beyond operational recovery. KelpDAO said rsETH has returned to 100% collateralization, and added that the community can track reserve data through a public monitoring dashboard provided by the project.

“DeFi United” credited for restoring collateral

KelpDAO attributed the recovery to broad coordination across the ecosystem. In its post, the team thanked Aave and founder Stani Kulechov, Consensys and founder Joseph Lubin, Lido Finance, Mantle, ether.fi, Ethena, Circle, Frax Finance, Golem, BGD Labs, Ink, Tydro, along with thousands of individual contributors, describing them as part of a “DeFi United” rescue effort.

According to KelpDAO, bringing rsETH back to full backing required extensive coordination across Web3 participants. The project has also made a transparency dashboard available so users can continue reviewing reserve details and the status of rsETH backing.
