Trader kimchi has added Pump.fun back to a personal bio three days after removing it, according to on-chain tracker Lookonchain, and the move was followed by a sharp move in the associated token. Lookonchain said $Kimchi at one point surged more than 150% after the change. Hours before the bio update, trader ja2trader spent $28,900 to buy 4.61 million $Kimchi tokens and is now sitting on a profit of $11,000. The episode follows an Oct. 21 post from Pump.fun co-founder Alon, who said the platform was working with Kimchi and described Kimchi as the first person to truly bridge crypto and pop culture, as well as the first example of a trader becoming a celebrity. Kimchi later removed Pump.fun from the bio after two days of promotion. During those two days, Pump.fun revenue fell 16% and active addresses dropped 11%. The report also said kimchi may have received 1.35 billion PUMP tokens, worth about $6.25 million, as a marketing fee.
