xStocks, a tokenized U.S. stock platform linked to Kraken, is rolling out the xPoints rewards program for trading, liquidity provision, and DeFi usage, drawing market attention to a possible future token incentive.

xStocks, a tokenized U.S. equities platform linked to Kraken, said it will introduce xPoints, a rewards program that tracks user activity across supported trading venues and integrated networks. Users can earn points by trading tokenized U.S. stocks, providing liquidity, and using those assets in DeFi applications.

xPoints ties together trading, liquidity, and on-chain activity

Based on the announcement, the program is designed to capture more than simple exchange activity. It also covers liquidity provision and the use of tokenized stock products inside DeFi protocols. That structure suggests xStocks wants to reward several layers of participation at once, from traders to liquidity providers and builders working around its ecosystem.

The launch has also fueled token speculation. In crypto markets, points systems are often used to drive early adoption before projects decide how to distribute longer-term ecosystem incentives. xStocks has not announced any token issuance plan. Still, the platform said participants who accumulate points will receive “exclusive benefits tied to the platform’s future” once the campaign ends, leaving room for market expectations around an airdrop or a native ecosystem token.

Tokenized stocks expand as sector TVL passes $1 billion

The timing matters. According to blockchain data platform RWA.xyz, total value locked in the tokenized stock segment has tripled over the past six months and now stands above $1 billion.

xStocks also shared its own operating figures. The company said that in the eight months since launch, its tokenized stock products have expanded across multiple blockchain networks and handled more than $25 billion in trading volume. Against that backdrop, the points program looks like an attempt to keep contributors engaged as activity in tokenized equities accelerates.

Nasdaq and Kraken plan tokenized stock collaboration

Interest is not limited to crypto-native firms. Earlier this week, Nasdaq announced plans to work with Kraken to tokenize listed company shares and distribute them to investors outside the United States. The move points to a broader shift as exchange operators push blockchain infrastructure closer to traditional capital markets.

With xPoints arriving at a time of rapid growth in tokenized equities, attention is now fixed on what those points may eventually unlock. For now, xStocks has only confirmed future platform-linked benefits, not a token launch.
