LayerZero has partnered with Blockaid to roll out Bridge Sentinel, a security-focused network for cross-chain messaging. Operated by Blockaid, the system is structured as a Decentralized Verifier Network, or DVN. Its role is to screen cross-chain messages before they are verified, using real-time threat intelligence to identify fake source events, malicious counterparties, and the movement of stolen funds. The launch adds a security check ahead of message validation rather than after the fact. Asset issuers using LayerZero’s Omnichain Fungible Token, or OFT, standard can choose to include Bridge Sentinel in their DVN configuration. The announcement, reported by Odaily, centers on giving issuers an optional security layer tied to LayerZero’s existing cross-chain infrastructure.
