Lily Liu, chair of the Solana Foundation, said at Token 2049 in Singapore that the crypto market’s recovery is likely to continue over the next 12 months, even as artificial intelligence draws more investor attention and capital. She said the core idea behind tokenization is not to compete with traditional retail trading platforms. Instead, blockchain can be used to broaden access to U.S. assets for investors around the world. Liu added that roughly 160 countries together account for only about 5% of global stock market capitalization, leaving room for blockchain-based and tokenized assets to expand into a wider international market. Her remarks framed tokenization as a distribution channel for access, rather than a direct challenge to existing retail brokerage models.
