Lumia has opened community voting on governance proposal LGP-01, which would have the Lumia Foundation treasury buy back all remaining undistributed HyperNode rewards in a one-time transaction at a fixed price of 0.09 USDT per LUMIA. The proposal says that price represents a premium of more than 10% to the Sept. 30 time-weighted average price. If completed, the buyback would cover roughly 18 years of future node rewards and formally end the original node reward program.
All LUMIA recovered through the buyback would be transferred to a newly created Lumia Foundation Growth Initiative, or LFGI. The proposal says the fund would be earmarked for real-world asset infrastructure, sovereign blockchain partnerships, and long-term ecosystem expansion. It also states that no new tokens would be minted and that LUMIA’s total supply would remain unchanged.
If approved, the claim window would open within 30 days after approval and remain available for 90 days. Settlement would be made in USDT on Ethereum, and participants may need to complete KYC through embarkAI. Voting is currently open to LUMIAp holders and is scheduled to close at 16:00 UTC on Oct. 2, 2026.
Lumia community members are voting on proposal LGP-01, which would authorize the Lumia Foundation treasury to buy back all remaining undistributed HyperNode rewards in a one-time transaction at a fixed price of 0.09 USDT per LUMIA.
The proposal says the offer is more than 10% above the Sept. 30 time-weighted average price. It would cover the remaining rewards allocated for roughly the next 18 years, and once the buyback is completed, the original node reward program would be formally terminated.
Under the proposal, all LUMIA recovered in the buyback would be moved into a newly established Lumia Foundation Growth Initiative, or LFGI. The fund would be dedicated to real-world asset, or RWA, infrastructure, sovereign blockchain partnerships, and long-term ecosystem expansion.
The proposal also states that no new tokens would be issued, leaving LUMIA’s total supply unchanged. If the measure passes, the claim window would open within 30 days after approval and stay open for 90 days.
Settlement would be made in USDT on the Ethereum network, and participants may be required to complete know-your-customer checks through embarkAI. Voting is already open to LUMIAp holders and will close at 16:00 UTC on Oct. 2, 2026.
