Mantle proposal moves into governance voting

A loan facility proposal submitted by Mantle Network has entered the governance voting stage for Aave. The measure is designed to support Aave’s rsETH relief initiative and help affected users manage positions linked to the rsETH event. According to the update, holders of MNT tokens must delegate their voting power on Snapshot in order to take part in the vote.

DeFi United raises funds to address the shortfall

At the same time, DeFi United, an ecosystem coordination effort led by Aave, has raised 1,137,714.633 ETH, equivalent to about $314.57 million, to cover the collateral deficit created by the April 18 rsETH event. The fundraising highlights an attempt by participating protocols to use coordinated capital support and governance processes to reduce the longer-term impact on affected users and the broader ecosystem.

Six DAOs join the coordination effort

Stani, founder of Aave, said the effort involved cooperation among six DAOs, including Arbitrum, EtherFi, and Lido. The multi-DAO response underscores how DeFi ecosystems are increasingly relying on cross-protocol coordination when addressing liquidity stress and collateral-related risk. From here, the outcome of the Mantle governance vote and the way DeFi United deploys the newly raised capital are likely to be key indicators of how the rsETH response develops.
