MANTRA Chain has completed its token upgrade at block 13,000,000, with the v7.0.0 update executed at about 04:21 UTC on March 3, 2026. The network switched its native asset from OM to MANTRA, a key change for the Layer 1 blockchain focused on real-world asset tokenization. Holders on the network did not need to take any action, and wallet balances were updated automatically on-chain after the migration finished.

Ticker, decimals and supply structure were all revised

The upgrade changed several core token parameters at once. The ticker moved from $OM to $MANTRA; denomination shifted from 6 decimals under uom to 18 decimals under aMANTRA; and the maximum supply was adjusted from 2.5 billion to 10 billion tokens. MANTRA said the move used a non-dilutive 1:4 split, meaning the change does not introduce inflation and does not alter the token’s total economic value. The stated goal is to standardize the token structure and improve EVM compatibility.

The network is also reported to be stable after the migration, with the chain live past block 13,002,132. During the process, validators and node operators were advised not to restart hardware. Archive nodes needed as much as 45 minutes because of the complexity of state migration.

Liquidity was pulled temporarily as exchanges moved to the new ticker

During the upgrade window, OM/USDC liquidity was temporarily removed from MANTRA Swap. Exchanges also paused trading pairs and then started reopening them under the new ticker. On-chain wallets and several centralized exchanges already show the updated asset name, while other venues are still completing integration in phases.

The source also noted that MEXC listed the MANTRA token on March 2, 2026 at 02:00 UTC. That listing marked the beginning of public trading under the new ticker.

Pre-swap price was near $0.06856

According to the CoinMarketCap data cited in the source, OM traded around $0.06856 before the swap, up about 2.38% over 24 hours. The article said the token had rebounded sharply from the $0.064 area, indicating buyers stepped in at lower levels.

For near-term trading ranges, the source said the new token could hold support around $0.065 to $0.068 if market sentiment stays stable. If momentum continues and more listings are added, it may test $0.072 to $0.075 in the short term. If volume weakens, price could revisit the $0.064 support zone.

Based on the published details, the change goes beyond a ticker replacement. It also resets token presentation and technical structure as MANTRA aligns its branding with its real-world asset blockchain focus.
