Meta's AI agent platform Manus has rolled out Instagram Connector (beta), its first major integration since the acquisition. The connector plugs Manus directly into Instagram's content pipeline: from post ideation to scheduling, reach analysis to influencer sourcing, all inside a single workspace.
AI Agent Embedded in Instagram's Content Factory
The Instagram Connector beta covers the full content lifecycle. Bulk creation and publishing: users can draft, write, and generate visuals natively in Manus, then push posts, stories, and Reels directly to their feed with captions. The feature is currently limited to Instagram professional accounts.
Real-time data and insights: Connector provides instant access to key metrics—views, reach, likes, comments, shares, saves. Manus helps analyze what works and what doesn't, and suggests strategies for improvement.
Creator Marketplace: AI Replaces KOL Middlemen
The more disruptive piece is the integration with Instagram's Creator Marketplace. Brands can now search through 2 million verified creators within Manus, filtering by interest category, audience demographics, and past brand collaborations. They can also upload existing creator lists for automatic "lookalike" matching. Communication happens without leaving the workspace. What once required a KOL agency is now a few clicks and filter operations.
Meta's Three-Layer Play: Agent, Traffic, Monetization
Instagram Connector is part of a broader strategy. Manus also integrates Meta Ads Manager and WhatsApp Business, forming three layers: Manus as the execution layer, Instagram/WhatsApp as the traffic and communication layer, and Ads Manager as the monetization layer. Meta aims to keep the entire marketing funnel—creator discovery, content creation, publishing, ad amplification, and performance tracking—within one AI agent workspace.
Getting Started Prompts
Manus offers sample prompts: upload product photos to create a carousel post with watermarked images; generate dramatic teaser videos with countdown timers and background music; extract performance data from recent posts to identify what's working and propose a data-driven content strategy. These templates lower the barrier for brands to adopt AI-driven social media management.
