Bitcoin life insurance company Meanwhile has raised $37.5 million from existing investors, according to a post by co-founder and CEO Zachary Townsend. The round was led by Bain Capital Crypto, with participation from Haun Ventures, Framework, Pantera Capital, Digital Currents, and Apollo Global. The company said its total funding has now exceeded $180 million. Meanwhile said the new capital will be used to meet demand for BTC-denominated life insurance among families in Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. Earlier in 2026, the company launched its BTC Life 1-Pay product for customers outside the United States. The product allows users to pay premiums once in bitcoin and receive a guaranteed death benefit denominated in bitcoin for life. The company also said policyholders can borrow up to 90% of the policy value after the first year, with no repayment schedule. Meanwhile added that it has signed 15 brokers serving wealthy families across Singapore, Hong Kong, the UAE, and Switzerland, and said premium revenue this year could more than double from a year earlier.

15 brokers signed across four markets

Meanwhile said it has signed 15 brokers serving wealthy families in Singapore, Hong Kong, the United Arab Emirates, and Switzerland. The company added that premium revenue this year could more than double year over year.
