MetaMask said on Thursday it has launched Agent Wallet, a self-custodial wallet that lets AI agents execute onchain transactions within limits set by users. The wallet is aimed at traders and developers using AI agents to monitor markets, identify opportunities, and trade autonomously. Users can set spending caps, approve specific protocols, choose risk settings, and switch between Guard Mode and Beast Mode. MetaMask said the wallet supports Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, OpenClaw, Hermes, OpenCode, Hyperliquid, and EVM-compatible networks. It also supports gas abstraction, letting users pay network fees with the assets being transferred rather than holding the native token. Supported transactions will go through transaction simulation, threat scanning, and smart transaction MEV protection. If an eligible transaction still loses money after passing security checks, it may qualify for Transaction Protection coverage of up to $10,000 per month.

MetaMask said on Thursday it has launched Agent Wallet, a self-custodial wallet designed to let AI agents execute onchain transactions within user-defined limits.

The wallet is aimed at traders and developers who use AI agents to monitor markets, spot opportunities and trade autonomously. Users can set spending caps, approve specific protocols, choose risk settings, and move between Guard Mode and Beast Mode at different automation levels.

Agent Wallet supports Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, OpenClaw, Hermes and OpenCode, along with Hyperliquid and EVM-compatible networks.

MetaMask said the wallet also supports gas abstraction, allowing users to pay network fees with the assets being transferred instead of holding the native token for that network.

According to MetaMask, supported transactions will undergo transaction simulation, threat scanning and smart transaction MEV protection. Eligible transactions that still lose money after passing security checks may receive Transaction Protection coverage of up to $10,000 per month.
