Monad co-founder says BTX has reached live end-to-end encryption across two nodes

Monad co-founder Keone Hon said Category Labs’ encrypted mempool project BTX, short for Batched Threshold Encryption, is now running with live end-to-end encryption across two nodes. He said the next target is to scale the setup to four to six nodes. Hon also said weighted quantization is being integrated into the code for DKG, or distributed key generation, while the Category Labs team works on a full implementation specification for DKG. He added that encrypted transactions are set to launch soon. The update was shared in a post on X and outlines both the current deployment milestone and the next engineering steps for the project.

He said the next goal is to expand the setup to four to six nodes. At the same time, weighted quantization is being integrated into the DKG, or distributed key generation, code, while the Category Labs team is also refining a full implementation specification for DKG.

Hon added that encrypted transaction functionality will be released soon.
