MUBARAK Rockets Past 100% After Aster Perpetual Listing
On August 10, GMGN monitoring data showed BSC meme token MUBARAK surging overnight from around $0.013 to roughly $0.03, notching a peak gain above 100%. Its market cap briefly approached $30 million before settling at approximately $23.68 million — still up about 50% over 24 hours on trading volume of roughly $17.2 million.
The rally kicked off immediately after Aster announced a MUBARAK perpetual contract supporting up to 5x leverage. The token quickly broke out of a sideways range around a $13 million market cap that had held for some time.
Traders Copy the TUT Playbook
The pattern looks familiar. On August 6, Aster listed a TUT perpetual contract — also with up to 5x leverage. TUT initially climbed more than 50%, then morphed into a leverage-fueled short squeeze that sent the token up roughly 300% within 24 hours.
MUBARAK is now following the same script: rapid volume expansion right after an Aster listing, with capital rotating along an identical path. Both tokens are well-known legacy meme coins on BSC. They were also selected together in Binance's first "Vote to List" batch in March 2025 and subsequently listed for spot trading.
Judging by the timeline, MUBARAK's resurgence fits the "Aster listing + leveraged capital + legacy-token rotation" template that crystallized after TUT's explosive run, rather than any new narrative catalyst.
Meme tokens remain highly volatile, driven primarily by market sentiment, community hype, and narrative momentum with little fundamental support. Investors should be aware of the risks involved.
