Odaily Planet Daily reports that a shell company connected to Elon Musk has recently bought multiple parcels in a rural area outside Houston, Texas, a strong indication that the joint chip manufacturing project Terafab is locking down its site. The planned factory carries a price tag of $55 billion.

The Terafab initiative is spearheaded by SpaceX, Tesla, and artificial intelligence firm xAI, with the primary goal of supplying dedicated high-performance chips for AI training and robotics programs. If fully realized, the total investment could reach $119 billion, making it one of the largest single manufacturing campuses in tech history.

According to land registry records, the acquiring entity is "WIT Tech LLC," which has secured at least six parcels in Grimes County, covering more than 6,000 acres (roughly 10 square miles). The transaction value has not been disclosed, but the location closely matches previously reported siting clues for the Terafab facility.
