Former U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has filed a new financial disclosure showing stock purchases tied to semiconductor manufacturer Intel (INTC) and clean energy supplier Bloom Energy (BE).
According to the official disclosure submitted to the Clerk of the House of Representatives, the transactions covered multiple positions in both companies.
Two Bloom Energy transactions were disclosed
The filing shows Pelosi made the first Bloom Energy trade on July 24. That transaction included the purchase of 10,000 Class A common shares, reported in a value range of $1 million to $5 million. She also bought 100 call option contracts with a $100 strike price and a June 17, 2027 expiration date, also disclosed in a value range of $1 million to $5 million.
A second Bloom Energy trade was reported for July 28. In that filing, Pelosi disclosed the purchase of another 5,000 common shares valued at $500,000 to $1 million, along with 100 additional call option contracts with the same $100 strike price and the same June 2027 expiration, also valued at $500,000 to $1 million.
Taken together, the disclosure shows Pelosi holding 15,000 BE common shares and 200 call options. The reported value range for the overall Bloom Energy position stands at $3 million to $12 million.
Intel position was also listed
For Intel, the filing shows Pelosi bought 10,000 common shares on July 24, with the transaction reported in a value range of $500,000 to $1 million. She also purchased call options with a $50 strike price expiring on June 17, 2027, disclosed in a value range of $250,000 to $500,000.
Congressional filings use value ranges
Odaily noted that U.S. congressional disclosure rules require lawmakers to report asset trades, but the reported amounts are disclosed in prescribed ranges rather than exact figures.
