NEAR Protocol said MyNearWallet, a non-custodial wallet in the NEAR ecosystem, will cease operations on Oct. 31, and users are required to move their assets to other wallets. The network said user funds remain stored on-chain, meaning the wallet’s retirement does not affect underlying asset custody. Even so, NEAR advised users to make a small test transaction before completing a full migration and to keep the recovery information for their original wallet. After the shutdown date, MyNearWallet will mainly remain available to support migration and recovery functions. The update was carried by Techub News, citing information attributed to NEAR Protocol.
