Asset manager Neuberger has launched its first tokenized fixed-income fund through Securitize, rolling out an actively managed high-yield strategy across Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), Avalanche (AVAX) and Sui (SUI).
The fund, called the Neuberger Securitize High Income Tokenized Fund, or HINC, will invest primarily in high-yield bonds, according to a Tuesday announcement. It will also take additional exposure to collateralized loan obligations and leveraged loans.
The launch arrives as investors look for higher yields while competition for corporate and government funding remains intense.
In a client note published Tuesday, Saxo chief investment strategist Charu Chanana wrote: 「The previous market regime rewarded investors for assuming that capital would remain cheap and plentiful. The emerging regime may reward investors for recognising that capital has a price again.」
HINC is available to qualified investors. Securitize is providing the infrastructure to issue and manage tokenized shares across the four blockchain networks.
The launch also marks the first time Neuberger will serve as subadvisor to a tokenized fund. Its fixed-income platform manages more than $230 billion in assets, while the firm oversees about $613 billion overall.
According to data from RWA.xyz cited in the report, Securitize has about $4.96 billion in distributed asset value across 26 tokenized real-world assets. Its lineup includes BlackRock’s $2.7 billion BUIDL fund, a $355 million tokenized AAA CLO fund and a $95 million Apollo diversified credit fund.
The report added that the company’s shares rose around 5% in Tuesday morning trading, putting its market capitalization at about $838 million. Even after that gain, the stock remains down more than 50% from levels reached shortly after its public debut in July.
