A packed set of tech and crypto milestones is scheduled for Aug. 10 through Aug. 16, including Unitree Technology’s subscription date, ChangXin Memory Technologies’ addition to the MSCI China All Shares Index, a new U.S. CPI report, wallet support changes, a blockchain shutdown, a Russian mining ban and an asset migration deadline.

Aug. 10: Unitree subscription date and MSCI index inclusion

Unitree Technology said in its listing announcement that its initial public offering on Shanghai’s STAR Market will combine strategic placement, offline issuance and online issuance. The company plans to issue 40.446434 million shares, accounting for 10% of its post-offering total share capital. Total share capital after the offering will be 404.464340 million shares.

The preliminary inquiry date was set for Aug. 5, 2026, while both online and offline subscription will take place on Aug. 10, 2026.

The filing also said the company has a special voting rights arrangement. Under that structure, actual controller Wang Xingxing will control 68.78% of the voting rights.

Also taking effect on Aug. 10, ChangXin Memory Technologies will be added to the MSCI China All Shares Index following its IPO, according to an MSCI announcement cited by Cailianshe.

Aug. 11: South Korea’s semiconductor special law takes effect

South Korea’s enforcement decree for the Special Act on Strengthening Competitiveness and Support for the Semiconductor Industry was approved by the State Council on Aug. 4 and is set to take effect on Aug. 11.

The law, advanced under a presidential body, details the composition of a special committee, procedures for designating semiconductor clusters, support for talent training and the operation of special accounting measures.

Under the decree, applications for semiconductor cluster designation must include a construction plan covering basic goals, development direction, name, location, area, the state of local industry and infrastructure, talent training and research infrastructure construction. Regions outside the Seoul metropolitan area will receive priority in cluster designation.

For industrial infrastructure needed by semiconductor clusters, the central and local governments may cover 50% to 100% of total project costs for construction and operations. Facilities tied to redundancy, supply chain stability and industrial security may receive full support.

The decree also says priority support may be given to job matching and retraining for semiconductor companies and regional specialists outside the capital region. It also sets standards and procedures for designating training institutions for semiconductor talent. Industry Minister Kim Jung-kwan said the government would work with relevant departments to carry out the law’s main policy tasks.

Aug. 12: U.S. CPI report and Phantom support cutoff for Monad

The United States will release its next Consumer Price Index report at 20:30 Beijing time on Aug. 12. According to Jin10, if the report shows unexpectedly hot inflation, debate could intensify over whether the Federal Reserve should raise interest rates at its next meeting in mid-September.

On the same day, Phantom Wallet will stop supporting Monad. Monad said Phantom will end support for the network on Aug. 12 and advised users to move funds to other EVM wallets.

Monad listed MetaMask, Rabby, Backpack, OKX Wallet, Trust Wallet and Uniswap Wallet as alternatives. The project also said Phantom had integrated Monad when the network’s mainnet launched in November 2025.

Aug. 13: Dango to shut down its L1 network

DeFi platform Dango said it will wind down operations. The team said it could not find a viable path to long-term commercial success for a range of reasons.

Dango said user funds are safe and withdrawal restrictions will be lifted in the near term. It urged users to close positions and withdraw funds as soon as possible, while warning of slippage risk as liquidity is expected to decline.

The wind-down has two key dates. On July 29 at 12:00 UTC, the platform stopped trading. Remaining positions will be settled using oracle prices, DLP Vault deposits will be unlocked, and all funds will be returned to users’ spot accounts in USDC.

Then, on Aug. 13 at 12:00 UTC, the Dango L1 blockchain will stop operating. Any funds not yet withdrawn will be returned to users’ deposit addresses on Ethereum.

Aug. 15: Russian mining ban begins, Superseed migration deadline arrives

Russia will ban cryptocurrency mining in Moscow, Moscow Oblast and eight districts in Kursk Oblast starting Aug. 15, with the restrictions lasting through Dec. 31, 2032. The scope also includes the city of Lgov and applies to local residents participating in mining pools. The decree was signed and published by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

Aug. 15 is also the deadline set by Superseed for users to move assets off its chain. The team said it will abandon its self-built Layer 2 and shift its focus to launching self-repaying loan products on Ethereum mainnet.

Superseed said it plans to deploy a native lending protocol and the stable asset suprUSD. It also said "Super Strategies" yield strategies will be used to automatically repay user debt and improve collateral utilization. The native token SUPR is intended for strategy enhancement and possible fee-sharing.

The project asked users to bridge out all assets on the Superseed chain, including USDC, USDT, oUSDT, cbBTC, OP and ETH, by Aug. 15, 2026. According to the announcement, assets other than SUPR may not be recoverable after that date, while SUPR would be reissued later through a follow-up contract.
