Blockchain infrastructure company NextBlock has invested $3 million in the seed round of Soda Labs, backing the company’s push to scale programmable privacy technology for financial activity on public blockchains. The funding comes as Soda Labs shifts from its existing gcEVM privacy layer to Soda Bubble, a chain-agnostic co-processor designed to enable privacy-preserving computation across multiple blockchain networks. According to CoinJournal, Soda Labs’ technology has already processed more than 100 million transactions on the COTI network. Applications deployed on its stack include tokenization platform Zoniqx and perpetuals exchange PriveX. The company is also extending Bubble to major EVM ecosystems including Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum, and Base, while planning support for non-EVM chains such as Solana. Soda Labs said the new capital will be used over the next 12 to 18 months to expand commercial use cases, grow its validator network, widen blockchain coverage, and deepen integrations with financial infrastructure such as banks and payments companies. The company also said its GC-MPC architecture can deliver roughly 10x to 100x higher throughput than existing alternatives, while lowering transaction costs by about 100x to 1000x.
